Cancellation Policy for Bit & Bridle Fittings

An appointment for a bit or bridle fitting is reserved specifically for you and your horse. Sufficient time is allocated for every appointment. For regional fitting routes, the entire route is also planned around multiple appointments on the same day.

Booking your appointment

To confirm your appointment, 50% of the consultation fee is paid in advance. This amount is fully deducted from the cost of your consultation and is therefore not an additional charge. After the fitting, you only pay the remaining consultation fee, plus any travel costs and purchases.

Cancelling or rescheduling

The following conditions apply when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment:

  • Up to 7 calendar days before the appointment: You can cancel or reschedule your appointment free of charge. If you cancel, the reservation payment will be refunded. If you reschedule, the payment can be transferred to your new appointment.
  • Within 7 calendar days of the appointment: The 50% reservation payment will not be refunded. This applies to both cancellations and rescheduling.
  • No-show: The reservation payment will not be refunded.

If you reschedule within 7 calendar days of your appointment, the reservation payment for the original appointment will be treated as a cancellation fee. A new reservation payment will be required for the new appointment.

Regional fitting routes

For appointments outside my regular service area, I regularly organise regional fitting routes, combining multiple appointments within the same area.

If there are not enough appointments for a regional route to go ahead, or if other appointments along the route are cancelled, the route may need to be moved to another date. In this case, I will contact you to arrange a new date together.

If you are unable or do not wish to attend on the new date, your reservation payment will be refunded in full.

If Bits&Bridles permanently cancels an appointment and no new appointment is arranged, the reservation payment will also be refunded in full.

Other important information

  • All consultation fees are per horse, including VAT and excluding travel costs, bits, bridles and individual parts.
  • Standard travel costs are a maximum of €0.23 per kilometre travelled from postcode 8391 AC. When joining a planned regional fitting route, travel costs may be calculated differently and divided across the route. You will never pay more than the standard mileage rate.
  • During bridle fittings, I work exclusively with bridles and individual parts from the L'Anique Exclusive collection.
  • After the consultation, the remaining consultation fee, together with any travel costs and purchases, must be paid immediately. Payment can be made in cash or via a digital payment request (QR code).
  • Bits, bridles and individual parts are not included in the consultation fee and are charged separately when purchased.
  • These cancellation conditions apply to every bit and bridle fitting booked with Bits&Bridles, regardless of whether the appointment is arranged via the website, WhatsApp, email, social media or any other method. These conditions will be shared with the customer before the appointment is confirmed. By confirming the appointment and paying the reservation payment, you agree to these conditions.
  • All appointments and services provided by Bits&Bridles are also subject to the general terms and conditions.
